Pearlware Peafowl Large Plate,
Circa 1795-1810.


The pearlware plate is painted with a very large and bold peafowl bracketed by green-sponged stylized foliage. The rim is painted with an undulating cobalt ribbon alternating with stylized apples.


 Mark: underside impressed with * mark.
