He is flanked by a lion, bear, steer, bald eagle, horse, sheep, wolf and snake winding through his legs.
A young black boy is seen at left w/ a girl perhaps wearing Union Jack flag, a Hispanic boy behind her and Chinese boy far right. The sun rises on factory smoke stacks and a ship’s rigging.
Signed Mary E. Moore of Hildreth Nebraska. Moore created a hopeful and inclusive picture of a growing America using all the reference points she would have acquired living in the Midwest.
