American, Probably Maine, Dated, "1937"

This cheerful and lively hooked rug reflects the peaceful simplicity of rural life, with a blooming garden, blue-curtained red house, doves nesting, barn and Ford parked in the drive. The author of this piece placed the date on the canoe, whose oars dip into the water.
