This unusual painted storage box features charming paintings of a rabbit, a house, and a fox in the woods. The box, from the early 19th century, was found in Carlisle, PA. The box is constructed of walnut, poplar, and chestnut. The middle drawer is a 19th century replacement and there is a small hole in the top of the drawer section. W: 12.5”, D: 6.25”, H: 5.25”.
