Painted hide drum depicting a Native warrior and a wandering star on each side panel. This piece is an unusual shape that was ingeniously created by a native forming an abstract octagon with metal, then adding a birch bark covering, followed by stretched hide. The decorations of quill ink pen and pigments are softly worn; the overall condition is decent with some minor losses, edge wear-holes in hide, and pigment wear.
