A colorless blown goblet with very fine copper wheel engraved decoration. One side features a portrait of the schooner Forest Queen and the oppposite side is engraved with a shield bearing the inscription "R & V/Curry/Hartlepool//1853." An elaborate floral wreath surrounds the shield. Hartlepool is a port town located in northeast England which became an important shipping center after the opening of a connecting railroad to newly constructed docks in West Hartlepool in 1851.
