A fine and large sampler this is embellished with a wonderful parade of dogs, many birds, little houses, flower baskets, a swan, trees, and many other motifs. The verse reads,

Ecclesiastes XII Chapter IV / Remember now thy Creator in / The days of thy youth while / The evil days come not nor / The years draw nig when thou / Shalt say I have no pleasure in / Them

Worked in wool on linen, this is in excellent condition. It has been conservation mounted and is in its original beveled frame.
