American Hooked Rug of Two Birds,

American Folk Art hooked rug depicting two birds sitting on stumps with a polychrome mixed color border.  The rug is mounted on a cloth-covered wood stretcher.  We originally thought these were pigeons but with their curved beaks, they are most likely a type of hawk.
