Helen and Douglas Stock each have 35 years of experience as dealers in the antique Oriental rug field and are respected as scholars in 19th century Persian rugs. Douglas is a long time member, and current chairman, of the Antique Carpets Vetting Committee for The Winter Antiques Show in New York. Helen and Douglas have spoken at The Textile Museum in Washington D.C. on three occassions and have written numerous articles on antique rugs for magazines and trade publications. Helen and Douglas have been members of The Art and Antique Dealers League of America (AADLA) for 30 years. Founded in 1926, The League is the oldest antiques dealer organization in the United States and is comprised of approximately 85 of the leading antiques dealers in America. Douglas Stock Gallery is a member of the international antiques organization Confederation Internationale des Negotiants en Oeuvres d’Art (CINOA). The Stocks are also members of the Antiques Dealers’ Association of America and exhibit at the ADA Historic Deerfield Antiques Show. Douglas Stock has served on the board of both the AADLA and the ADA.
