On the heels of a successful virtual spring show, the Antiques Dealers' Association of America (ADA) announced the long-running ADA/Historic Deerfield Antiques Show will be going online and donating a portion of the proceeds to Historic Deerfield. Expect to find more than 1,000 objects representing the best in American (and some European) antiques, fine art, folk art, Americana, Native American, and other decorative arts. Hosted over Columbus Day weekend, the online show opens October 9 at 10 am and continues through October 12 at 10 pm EST

Show Information:

Starts: 10:00am EST, Friday, October 9, 2020

Ends: 10:00pm EST, Monday, October 12, 2020

Location: Your home or wherever you are on your computer, tablet or mobile device.

The show will run around the clock from start to finish, so no matter your time zone—feel free to browse as you are. No crowds, no lines, no traffic, no bad weather, no tickets—this show can by enjoyed at any locale, at your leisure on your desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

The show that began in Springfield, Mass., in 1984 and moved to Historic Deerfield in 1998, will now fashion its walls and open its doors on the web with more accessibility than ever before, viewable from any computer or mobile device. The online show represents an unprecedented moment for collectors across the country — and scattered throughout the world — to buy at the ADA/Historic Deerfield Antiques Show, long a venue offering the finest New England antiques and objects of Americana.

"The ADA/Historic Deerfield Antiques Show, through thick and thin, has been drawing collectors of all levels to the excitement of great art and antiques since 1998," said Philip Zea, president and CEO, Historic Deerfield. FAQ/What You Need To Know:

How do I buy an item from the online show?

Contact the seller directly. An email link and the phone number of the ADA dealer representing the item will be listed with each object. PLEASE NOTE that due to the COVID pandemic some dealers may have limited access to their inventory. While most items will be available to ship directly from the dealer, some items, e.g. furniture may have to have shipping or delivery arrangements made during a safer time. In any case, please ask the dealer of availablity and shipping/delivery options.

Remind me again...what is the ADA guarantee?

All ADA members are required to guarantee their merchandise in writing as to the approximate age, origin, condition and restoration, if any, on all pieces sold.

What if I buy an item from this show and it doesn't look as good in hand as I expected?

No problem. Upon receipt you will have (3) three days to inform the seller that you are dissatisfied with the object and that you would like to return it.

Do ADA members get to "shop" the show before the general public?

No. The show will be accessible to the public and ADA members, equally on the launch date/time.

I have a question...do I contact the ADA or the dealer regarding an item?

Contact the seller directly. An email link and the phone number of the ADA dealer representing the item will be listed with each object.

Does the show close each night?

No. Once the show opens, it will remain open every hour, minute and second until it closes. You can shop anytime and at your convenience.

What is the best time to contact a dealer?

We ask that patrons make phone calls to dealers during the hours of 9:00am EST - 9:00pm EST. You may of course email the dealer at anytime and dealers will answer emails in a timely manner and on a first come first serve basis.

Will items be available after the online show closes?

Much like a traditional antiques show, when the show closes the venue is over. Therefore, we urge patrons to act while the show is online.

Will the show pages remain on the ADA
website?

The links to the show's inventory pages will be pulled at the close of the show, therefore we urge you to contact the dealer while the show is in progress.
