Chinese Export Famille Rose Porcelain Bowl with Chinese "Antiques" & Scholar's items on Furniture,

Circa 1735-40

 

On the front is a depiction of an unusual grouping of Chinese domestic furniture with a large sofa in the center decorated with precious objects on the seat with a marble-topped table to one side and to the other side a marble urn holding flowers and on a  table with a box on top with a smaller stand behind it.  A garden seat is placed on the ground too.

 

On the reverse is a painted bronze urn filled with a large grouping of flower stems cascading out and filling the space around the urn. In the open space between the two paintings are grouping, to either side, of different furniture surmounted by urns filled with flowers or plants. The interior of the bowl fully painted with an urn holding flowers with a second urn with flowers and another garden seat.
