Fine federal inlaid cherry and mahogany tall case clock, the hood
with pierced fretwork and fluted plinths, above a tombstone aperture with
crossbanded door, the case with molded and crossbanded door, fluted quarter
columns with brass capitals, raised on a veneered and crossbanded base with
original shaped bracket feet. Eight day brass movement with painted iron dial,
the movement attributed to Frederick Wingate, Augusta, Maine, circa 1815. In
fine original condition with only very minor repairs.
