Rare Queen Anne Painted Oval Top Tea Table

Probably Connecticut, ca. 1750
Maple.
Exceptional surface, original red paint over red. Repair to one ankle, otherwise untouched original condition.
Provenance: Marguerite Riordan; Fred Giampietro; Collection of David Good.
Considered rare and important for its original painted surface, this Queen Anne oval-top also has outstanding proportions with a generous over-hanging top above a straight skirt supported by turned, tapered legs ending on extended pad feet.
