A superlative antique Bakshaish runner from the Heriz district in northwest Persia’s Azerbaijan province, circa 1890. The abrashed (variegated) camel color field is decorated with small medallions connected by branches. A border with polychromatic diagonal stripes frames the field.

An exceptional example.
