18TH CENTURY PINT PHILADELPHIA BALUSTER PEWTER MEASURE



 

This measure is 5” high.  It is American and 18th Century.  On the handle are the initials “CP”.  It is believed this stands for the “City of Philadelphia”.  These initials have been found on 2 marked “LOVE” measures.  It is very rare. It holds exactly 16 ounces.

This 18th century open baluster measure is pint sized. The"CP" stands for City of Philadelphia and was a standard measure in that  time perod in ththe city. Standard measures are rare and are quite desired.
