This exceptional piece of neoclassical furniture is undoubtedly a product of the workshop of Duncan Phyfe, New York City's premier cabinetmaker in the early 19th century. It was probably made circa 1815. The mahogany veneers are the finest available at the time and the design and execution are the best. In addition note the petite size being less than five feet in height. The original condition is exemplary along with all the original brass hardware which was the finest made anywhere in the world. Here is a rare opportunity to acquire a choice Phyfe piece in exceptional condition.
