In 1998 when Arman's book "Anglo-American Ceramics" the standard reference in this field was published, an exact mate to our jug was listed as PITCHER (ONE RECORDED). And the value was denoted as "22.0" which meant it should have a price 22 times greater than the average jug which would be approximately $ 22,000!!! Our jug is in excellent original condition overall. We had one tiny hairline removed. Jefferson items have always been difficult to find and have always commanded top dollar. This may be your only opportunity to acquire this rarity.
Below the portrait it says on left side "I.Hopwood sculpt" and on right side "for I. Wyld".
