Mason Premier Canada Goose Decoy
Ca. 1905
Rare snakey headed example in untouched original paint. Hairline shrinkage crack on left side of head and a check in the base.
One of the more stylish examples we have offered.
See our "Mason Decoys" book, page 79, for a nearly identical example.
The Mason Factory ceased production of Canada geese in 1913 because of a scarcity of Northeast cedar and hunter complaints about the decoy's 8 pound weight.
