A pair of matching mahogany Georgian knife boxes, also known as cutlery boxes.  Period serpentine fronts, slope hinged lids with original slotted interiors.  The lids are adorned with an inlaid shell and the interior lid and fitted slots have string inlay.  There is some age shrinkage cracks and minor regluing of the insets.
