"Eiffel Tower" Cast Iron Still Bank, Rare Variation, circa 1890

This is the very rare (taller) version of "Eiffel Tower" Still Bank; listed on page 112 in Andy Moore's "The Penny Bank Book" as an "F" rated bank, which is the rarest connotation. The manufacturer is unclear (likely British) but it was most certainly made about 1890 to commemorate the 1889 opening of the Eiffel Tower and to encourage tourism. It was appropriately named after the designer and manufacturer of referenced 1063 foot structure, Gustave Eiffel.

Made out of cast iron, this bank is in outstanding all original condition with no repairs and no repaint or touch up of any kind, and has been in the same collection for 35 years. It is painted in the singular dark brown actual color of the "Eiffel Tower".

It measures: 10 3/8" high x 5 1/4" wide x 5 1/4" deep.
Two sides have embossed: "Eiffel Tour Paris"
Other two sides have embossed: "Tour Eiffel Paris".
