Pine, copper, iron, traces of paint and gold leaf.
This carved wooden weathervane features Gabriel blowing his trumpet and directing the faithful to follow in the direction of his pointed finger. On his copper belt is a punched message: 1THESS 4:16:17 referencing the oldest book from the New Testament of the Bible - First Thessalonians, chapter 4, verses 16 and 17:
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
