American Covered Ash Burl Bowl

A fine and unusually tall and narrow form - nicely turned from a well figured burl specimen with a well fitted top and thin body. Mushroom style finial is turned from the solid. The whole reads as an elongated acorn.

The cover and body maintains a complex, original surface with a well alligatored shellac.

An old collection label is pasted on bottom: "H. M. Wiltsie #74."

Condition: Excellent, however with a good chunk missing from one portion of the interior portion of the cover (see third photo) - not visible from the exterior and not effecting the aesthetic integrity of the object.
