A diminutive polychrome and luster decorated water pitcher featuring a luster body with a beaded lip over a tapered neck with shaped ridge decoration over a round swelled body. The mid section of the body features a yellow and red decorated band including a Patriotic transfer decoration of Cornwallis’ surrender at Yorktown on one side and a bust portrait of Lafayette crowned by angels on the reverse. A serpentine shaped handle is joined to one side.
England, 1815 - 1835. In good condition with minor wear.
