These chapters are followed by a survey of Picture Frames in the National Portrait Gallery. More than 130 frames (and their accompanying art) discussed. Includes overviews of frames with close up details as well. Excellent glossary of terms and line drawings of frame cross sections included. This is a wonderful overview of an element of art and its display that is often overlooked. Great resource with more than 150+ black and white and color photographs.
