This famous encyclopedia described and illustrated with marvelous drawings all of the trades, their tools, the outfits/uniforms, with everything done in great detail. Originally printed in 1763, this edition prints 485 of the most interesting trades, in two large volumes. There are 59 plates from Agriculture and the Rural Arts, 15 plates on Military Arts, 40 dealing with the Iron Foundry and Forge, 43 covering the Extractive Industries, 44 on Metalworking, 67 on Glass Making, 28 on Masonry and carpentry, 55 on textiles, 28 on Papermaking and Printing, 14 on Leather, 28 Covering Gold, Silver and Jewelry, 18 on Fashion, and 39 on random and sundry other trades like Soapmaking and canal building.
